Broome County, New York Postal History

Whitneys Point: December, 1894 - March 1, 1895

The Whitneys Point Post Office was established in Broome County in December, 1894.  Prior to that, it
was Whitney's Point.  The first postmaster of Whitneys Point was Eli B. Black.  On March 1, 1895, the
name of the post office was changed to Whitney Point.
