Triangle: December 8, 1818 - March 31, 1954

The Triangle Post Office was established in 1818.  The first postmaster of Triangle was Gaius L. Spencer.
The Triangle Post Office ceased operation in 1954, with service provided by the Greene Post Office in
Chenango County.

Triangle NY/July 9 Manuscript town and date; Manuscript "Paid 18 3/4" to Hamilton, UC via Queenston Exchange
                   Office where black DCDS of Queenston was applied, "Paid 18 3/4" was crossed out and
                   manuscript "4 1/2" added and 4 1/2 pence was collected on arrival. 
                   18 3/4 cents paid the rate for 150 - 400 miles, per Act of March 3, 1825.

                     Unusual mailing on Christmas day.
                     Rate for under 300 miles, per Act of March 3, 1845.
