McClure Settlement: May 30, 1865 - April 30, 1921

The McClure Settlement Post Office was established in 1865.  The first postmaster of McClure Settlement
was Charles Hewett.  The McClure Settlement Post Office was discontinued in 1921, when service began
being provided by the Deposit Post Office.

McClure Settlement - 1870's

McClure Sett/Nov 16 N.Y. Manuscript town, manuscript cancel 
                         on 3 cent green banknote.  

McClure Settlement: Registered Mail - 1889

McCLURE SETTLEMENT/Nov 15/1889/N.Y. Black 26mm CDS; Manuscript "Reg No 92/92.  
                                    Target killers tie pair of 5 cent blue banknotes
                                    (#216) and 2 cent green banknote (#213) which paid
                                    the 2 cent first class rate for a 1 ounce letter
                                    and the 10 cent registry fee for no indemnity.  

McClure Settlement: Registered Mail - 1896

McCLURE SETTLEMENT/DEC 14/N.Y. Black 26mm CDS; Manuscript "Reg No 28/28.  
                               Target killers tie pair of 5 cent brown banknotes
                               (#255) which paid the 2 cent first class rate for
                               a 1 ounce letter and the 8 cent registry fee for
                               no indemnity effective January 1, 1893.  

McClure Settlement - 1890's

McCLURE SETTLEMENT/M/D/N.Y. Black 26mm CDS.
                            2 cent carmine tied with concentric circle killer.

McClure Settlement - 1909

McCLURE SETTLEMENT/JUL/14/1909/N.Y. Black 27mm CDS, Black concentric circle killer.
                                    1 cent black postal card (UX20)

McClure Settlement - 1912

MC CLURE SETTLEMENT/AUG/10/1912/P.M./N.Y. Black 31mm CDS.
                                          1 cent green tied by 4 bar cancel.
